Terms & Conditions of Purchase

We provide this service to you on the following terms and conditions. Placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

• All prices quoted on the site are inclusive of Australian Goods and Service Tax.
• You have familiarised yourself with our delivery information and returns policy.
• The site or any portion of the site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose that is not expressly permitted.

We are able to deliver anywhere in the world. Within Australia delivery is via Australia Post Express Post service. The average delivery fee within Australia for a costume is $10.00, however prices will be quoted individually during the hire confirmation. Invoice will be sent within 48 hours of payment to the supplied address.

In the unlikely event of your order not being delivered or received within the specified timeframe, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate and rectify the problem.

All weekend hires are due back the following Monday (if coming in-store to return) or Tuesday (if posting return). Weekday hires are due back the day after the hire (for in-store returns) or 2 days after the hire (if posting return).

There is a minimum bond payable of $50.00 per hire. Bond will be refunded in full given that all hired goods are returned on time and without damage. The customer shall accept full responsibility for all goods damaged during the hire, and may incur an additional fee to repair or replace such goods. If goods are not returned by the due date, additional hire fees may apply. The customer accepts full responsibility and indemnifies Character Creations againts all claims, judgement, damage, loss, expense, or liability incurred from use of the goods.

ID Requirements

We require proof of identity along with proof of address. This may be a valid drivers license with your current address, or a proof of identity card accompanied by a telephone or electricity bill (or something of the like) showing your address. Failure to provide this will result in a Double Bond charge, which is then refunded so long as the costume is returned on time and without damage.

Costume Hire

At Character Creations, we pride ourselves on having the newest range of costumes available for hire. All care is taken to ensure items hired are in good condition when they leave the store, however it is the customers’ responsibility to check the costume prior to leaving the store to ensure they are happy with the condition of each item. Some items may be priced according to their level of wear.

Cancellation

Please note that purchases cannot be cancelled after payment has been received. We will not be able to give you any refund if cancelled on the day of dispatch as the items will already be on the way. Please contact us if you have any queries about this matter.

Although this is the "Age of the Internet", many people are still worried about trading over the internet. We can assure you that we have done everything possible to protect your details while purchasing products from us.

Once you have purchased an item from the online store, your details will be recorded on our database. This database is for our delivery department, and your convenience upon returning to our shop. We will not sell, trade or rent information from this database, and if in future we use this information for any promotions, you will be given the option of being excluded.
